Starting July 1, 2010 we will have the River course closed to outside play. It will be open to Members and Employees only. By the end of July it will be closed to all play until the spring of 2011. We will be seeding the greens to L93 Bent Grass. Those of you not familiar with this grass can see it at Bear Creek Golf Club here in town. They have very good greens and that helped with our decision. The greens have been infested on the River course for some time with poa annual. Most of you have seen this and understand the devestation it can cause. We have tried to combat it with other practices but with no success. Therefore this has been a necessary move to make. On the bright side we will have spectacular greens next spring.
The Mountain and Links courses will remain available and are in very good shape. The same problem has not occured on those two courses.
